Bachelor of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)

The Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) program is a program of 157-credits, 48 (forty-eight)-month study in a period of 12 semesters. The diploma engineers will get a waiver in some courses on the basis of their previous academic records.

A student must take the normal load of 4 to 5 courses with all associated practical courses in a semester, if he/she intends to complete the program within 4 years. The maximum time for completion of the program is 6 (six) years.

Objective:

The objective of the Bachelor of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is toproduce a well-rounded and world class professionals in the field. The program has been so designed as to achieve the perfect blend of theory and practice in order to provide a path for steadily increasing their engineering knowledge and skills.

Program Duration:

PUB introduces three semesters (each semester is of 4 months) in an academic year. Therefore, the whole program can be completed in 12 semesters, (i.e. 4 years).
  • In certain cases, a student may be allowed to complete the program in maximum 6 years (i.e. 18 semesters) including leave of absence/semester leave.
  • If any student fails to complete his/her program of study within the above mentioned maximum length of period, then consequently his/her studentship at PUB will be cancelled.

Entry Requirements:

Minimum 2nd division or GPA 2.5 in both SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations of `O’ Level in five subjects and `A’ Level in two major subjects with minimum `C’ in each or US high school diploma.
